Public Policy Measure
The Social Benefit for Inclusion is a social benefit paid monthly to people with disabilities, with a degree of incapacity equal to or greater than 60 per cent, with a view to promoting their autonomy and social inclusion.
This benefit is made up of three components:
▪ Basic component;
▪ Complement;
▪ Increase (not yet in force).
The Social Benefit for Inclusion complement is a reinforcement of the amount paid for the basic component, and aims to combat the poverty of people with disabilities who live alone or in households with economic deprivation or insufficient resources.
The Social Benefit for Inclusion was created by Decree-Law no. 126-A/2017, of 6 October, in its current wording.
