Public Policy Measure
The Family Crèche consists of a group of nannies who work within the framework of an institution that has a crèche.
It is a social service that aims to promote the reconciliation of family and professional life and provide the child (up to the age of three, or until they reach the age of entry into the pre-school establishment), in collaboration with the family:
a) A familiar and safe environment with pedagogical intent;
b) Individual and personalised care, according to the needs of each child;
c) The conditions for the child’s integral development, in an environment of physical and emotional security.
This social service is regulated by Order no. 232/2015, of 6 August, which defines the terms governing the exercise of the activity of nanny within the framework of an institution.
