People who attend Day Care and Autonomy Promotion Unit (UDPA – RNCCI)
Value paid per day by Social Security and Health to the entities promoting and managing the units and teams of the National Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (Public Entities of the National Health Service, Private Social Solidarity Institutions – IPSS or legally equivalent entities, and Private Entities), with programme contracts, for the development of Day Care and Autonomy Promotion Units – Unidades de Dia e de Promoção da Autonomia.
The National Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (RNCCI) consists of continuing healthcare and/or social support units and teams, and a set of integrated continuing mental healthcare units and teams, which originate from local community services, covering hospitals, health centres, social security services, entities form social economy and local authorities. The RNCCI is implemented by the Ministries of Health and Labour, Solidarity and Social Security.
The Day Care and Autonomy Promotion Units – Unidades de Dia e de Promoção da Autonomia (UDPA) are units that provide integrated care, autonomy promotion and social support on an outpatient basis to people with varying levels of dependency who are unable to be cared for at home.
