People in Autonomous Residences (RA – CCISM)
Value paid by Health plus the maximum contribution paid by Social Security, per user/day, to the entities promoting and managing the units and teams of the National Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (Public Entities of the National Health Service, Private Social Solidarity Institutions – IPSS or legally equivalent and Private Entities), with programme contracts, which develop Independent Living with Autonomous Residences – Residências Autónomas in the scope of Integrated Continuing Mental Health Care – Cuidados Continuados Integrados de Saúde Mental.
The National Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (RNCCI) consists of continuing healthcare and/or social support units and teams, and a set of integrated continuing mental healthcare units and teams, which originate from local community services, covering hospitals, health centres, social security services, entities form social economy and local authorities. The RNCCI is implemented by the Ministries of Health and Labour, Solidarity and Social Security.
The Autonomous Residences – Residências Autónomas (RA), promoted within the scope of Integrated Continuing Mental Health Care – Cuidados Continuados Integrados de Saúde Mental (CCISM), are residential structures located in the community and intended for people with a reduced degree of psychosocial disability, who are clinically stable and without adequate family or social support. Their purpose is to provide residential support that allows integration into socialisation and vocational training or employment activities, promoting a better quality of life and greater social participation.
