Children and adolescents with mental health problems who attend the Socio-Occupational Unit (USO/IA – CCISM)
Value paid per day by Social Security and Health to the entities promoting and managing the units and teams of the Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (Public Entities of the National Health Service, Private Social Solidarity Institutions – IPSS or legally equivalent and Private Entities), with programme contracts, for the development of Socio-Occupational Unit – Unidade Sócio Ocupacional within the scope of Integrated Continuing Mental Health Care – Cuidados Continuados Integrados de Saúde Mental.
The National Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (RNCCI) consists of continuing healthcare and/or social support units and teams, and a set of integrated continuing mental healthcare units and teams, which originate from local community services, covering hospitals, health centres, social security services, entities form social economy and local authorities. The RNCCI is implemented by the Ministries of Health and Labour, Solidarity and Social Security.
The Socio-Occupational Unit – Unidade Sócio Ocupacional (USO/IA) of Integrated Continuing Mental Health Care – Cuidados Continuados Integrados de Saúde Mental (CCISM) is intended for children and adolescents with moderate and reduced degrees of psychosocial disability who are clinically stable but with dysfunctions in the relational, occupational and social integration areas. Its purpose is to promote autonomy, emotional stability and social participation, with a view to social, family and professional integration.
