Children and Adolescents in Maximum Support Residences (RAMa/IA – CCISM
Value paid by Health plus the maximum contribution paid by Social Security, per user/day, to the entities promoting and managing the units and teams of the National Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (Public Entities of the National Health Service, Private Social Solidarity Institutions – IPSS or legally equivalent and Private Entities), with programme contracts, which develop Maximum Support Residences – Residências Apoio Máximo within the scope of Integrated Continuing Mental Health Care – Cuidados Continuados Integrados de Saúde Mental .
The National Network for Long-term Integrated Care – Rede Nacional de Cuidados Continuados Integrados (RNCCI) consists of continuing healthcare and/or social support units and teams, and a set of integrated continuing mental healthcare units and teams, which originate from local community services, covering hospitals, health centres, social security services, entities form social economy and local authorities. The RNCCI is implemented by the Ministries of Health and Labour, Solidarity and Social Security.
The Maximum Support Residences – Residências Apoio Máximo (RAMa), promoted within the scope of Integrated Continuing Mental Health Care – Cuidados Continuados Integrados de Saúde Mental (CCISM), are residential structures located in the community, intended for clinically stable individuals with a high degree of psychosocial disability who cannot be treated at home due to a lack of adequate family or social support. Their purpose is to provide care that prevents and delays the worsening of the situation of dependency.
