Medida de Política Pública

The Social Benefit for Inclusion is a social benefit paid monthly to people with disabilities, with a degree of incapacity equal to or greater than 60 per cent, with a view to promoting their autonomy and social inclusion.
This benefit is made up of three components:
▪ Basic component;
▪ Complement;
▪ Increase (not yet in force).

The basic component of the benefit is intended to compensate for the increased general burdens resulting from the condition of disability and, in addition to being awarded to new applicants, it replaces three benefits: the lifetime monthly allowance, the social invalidity pension and the invalidity pension from the transitional schemes for agricultural workers.

The Social Benefit for Inclusion was created by Decree-Law no. 126-A/2017 of 6 October, in its current wording.
