Child or Young Person in a Recreational Centre
A financial grant paid monthly by Social Security to Private Social Solidarity Institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations or legally equivalent, with a cooperation agreement with State, that develop the social service Recreational Centre, per children and young people.
The Recreational Centre is a social service, developed in a facility or service, of a socio-educational nature aimed at supporting children and their families, which provides monitoring, leisure and specific activities for children aged 6 and over, during the period corresponding to the impediment of their parents or those exercising parental responsibilities.
The Recreational Centre has the following objectives:
a) To provide activities integrated into a socio-cultural animation project, taking into account the characteristics of the groups and based on the greatest respect for the person;
b) To create an environment favourable to the development of each child or young person, so that they are able to express themselves in a climate of understanding, respect and acceptance;
c) To collaborate in the socialisation of each child or young person, through participation in group life;
d) Encouraging the interrelationship between family, school and community, in order to make the most of all the resources in the environment;
e) To improve the socio-educational situation and quality of life of children and young people;
f) Promote interaction and social inclusion of children with disabilities, at risk and in social and family exclusion.
