Public Policy Measure

The Support Home is a social service, implemented in specific physical facilities, designed to accommodate children and young people with disabilities who need to attend specific support structures located far from their usual place of residence or who, due to proven family needs, temporarily need a substitute for the family.

This social service aims to:
a) Provide accommodation that is as close as possible to the family environment;
b) To guarantee conditions of well-being and quality of life adapted to the needs of children and young people;
c) Create conditions that facilitate social and family integration;
d) Provide means that contribute to their personal development, the strengthening of their self-esteem and their personal and social autonomy.
