Home Hospitalisation focuses on the acute phase of illness or aggravation of a chronic illness, consisting of the provision of care of an intensity and complexity equivalent to that of a hospital stay, for a limited period of time.
Home hospitalisation is an alternative to conventional hospitalisation, providing continuous and coordinated clinical care to those patients who, while requiring hospital admission, also meet a series of clinical, social and geographical criteria that allow them to be admitted home under supervision, always in accordance with the wishes of the patient and their family.
