One Value is a free and user-friendly knowledge centre that aggregates information about the public investment in several social issue areas that are a priority in Portugal. These issue areas include Social Protection, Education, Health, Employment and Justice. Public investment refers to investment by the Portuguese Government.
The information made available by One Value is not static and will be updated according to the evolving nature of public policy priorities. When new and updated figures are available, those will also be incorporated in One Value.
The goal of One Value is to aggregate, in a single platform, quantitative data about public spending that is allocated to address social issues. The aim is to present data in a clear, simple, objective and meaningful way. Data made available by One Value will allow:

In addition, there is also a Savings Calculator across all thematic areas. The Savings Calculator allows for a simulation of potential savings in public spending according to the efficiency rates delivered by innovative interventions.
One Value is the result of a partnership between Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Portuguese Government. The information made available by One Value was validated by the public-sector entities that are responsible for the implementation of public policy in each thematic area. These include: Instituto de Segurança Social (Social Protection), Direção-Geral da Educação, Instituto de Gestão Financeira da Educação and Direção-Geral do Ensino Superior (Education), Administração Central do Sistema de Saúde (Health), Instituto de Emprego e Formação Profissional (Employment) and Direção-Geral de Reinserção e Serviços Prisionais (Justice).
