Children who attend Public Pre-schools
The value represents the annual expenditure per pupil in public pre-school establishments and is based on the number of staff for pre-school education and full-time equivalent pupils for all other levels of education. This cost is forecast in the OECD’s Education at a Glance 2025 Report.
Pre-school Education is the first stage of basic education in the process of lifelong learning. It complements the educational activity of the family, with which it must establish close cooperation, favouring the formation and balanced development of the child, with a view to their full integration into society as autonomous, free and caring beings.
Pre-school education is aimed at children between the ages of 3 and the age at which they enter primary school and is taught in pre-school establishments.
