Public Policy Measure
The Apprenticeship Courses are a form of dual certification training delivered through alternating periods of learning, based on the competency and training frameworks associated with the qualifications included in the National Qualifications Catalogue (CNQ). They allow for the attainment of a level 4 qualification within the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
The objectives of these courses are to:
– Strengthen the qualification levels of young people and adults to improve their employability and facilitate their (re)integration into the labour market, as well as to support further education;
– Enhance the training potential in a workplace setting through the active participation of companies and other employers in the training process, establishing them as true partners:
– Develop and consolidate quality learning for young people and adults based on a system of alternating training:
– Gradually bring young people and adults closer to the labour market through practical experience in a workplace setting.
This measure targets young people and adults up to 29 years old (inclusive) who have completed the 9th grade or hold an equivalent legally recognised qualification, without completion of secondary education.
This public policy is regulated by Order No. 70/2022, of 2 February, in its current wording.
