The Employment-Insertion Contract (CEI+) is a public policy measure aimed at unemployed persons registered at employment centres and beneficiaries of the Social Integration Income (RSI). Under this measure, beneficiaries perform socially necessary work in local authorities, social solidarity associations, or other public services. The maximum duration of a CEI+ is 12 months.
This public policy measure is regulated by Order No. 128/2009 of 30 January, in its current wording. However, it was repealed by Order No. 118/2025/1 of 17 March, which establishes the MAIS Programme – Measures for Social Activation and Inclusion. Notwithstanding its repeal, under a transitional provision, it will remain in force until the conclusion of its implementation.
